This misconception often comes from the fact that they play computer games, listen to songs in English and watch films in English. What they are not aware of, though, is that the language in games, songs and films, the language they hear and try to copy is not always the correct one. This is where we, teachers, must interfere and teach them how to express themselves appropriately, how to communicate in a proper language, what is the right thing to say in a certain situation; in other words, to get them on the right track to speaking.
